The United States refused to accuse Russia of collusion with Afghan terrorists
The U.S. Administration does not possess information which would allow to claim that the American military personnel perished as a result of conspiracy of Russia with members of the Taliban (organization which activity is banned in the Russian Federation), the Chairman of the Committee of chiefs of headquarters of the Armed Forces (AF) of the USA general Mark Millie at hearings in the Congress said on July 9. We have not established causal links between the (alleged ed.) Russian compensation program and losses among American troops, he said. Milley added that the issue is still under study, and final conclusions will be drawn after thorough verification. During the hearing, US Secretary of Defense Mark Esper agreed with him. Recall that earlier the American newspaper New York Times published material in which, citing unnamed sources, it was alleged that Russian military intelligence paid the militants of the Afghan Taliban movement (an organization whose activities are banned in the Russian Federation) for the killings of the US military in Afghanistan.
