Suzuki stops selling Jimny model in Europe
Due to tightening environmental regulations, the Japanese company Suzuki stops selling the Jimny model in Europe. It is reported by the publication Autocar. Already in 2021, the all-rounder Suzuki Jimny will cease to meet European environmental standards. According to these standards, the average emission of CO2 cars should not exceed 95 g/km. If the rules are violated, then the car company expects multimillion-dollar fines. Therefore, the dirty Jimny model will leave the European market in four to five months. The Jimny car, which was sold on the European market, had an uncontested one and a half liter gasoline aspirator. At the same time, the average emissions for the version with a mechanical transmission was 154 g/km, and for the version with an automatic 170 g/km. Recall that in June of this year, Russian motorists bought 604 new cars of the Suzuki brand. This is 10% more than a year ago.
