In Mexico, police detained one of the leaders of the fighting wing of the drug cartel New Generation Jalisco Armando Gomez Nunez. This was announced on June 29 by the press service of the Prosecutor General's Office of Mexico. Suspected of numerous crimes, Nunez, nicknamed Delta-1, was detained as a result of a joint operation of law enforcement agencies in the state capital Jalisco Guadalajara. During the search after the arrest, two automatic rifles, one pistol, two magazines, seven mobile phones were seized from him. Also with him, 304 bags of cocaine were found with a total weight of 0.19 kg. The state prosecutor's office accuses Nunes of committing a number of serious crimes. No deaths or casualties were reported during the detention operation.
