Moldova wants to expand the application of the CIS Free Trade Agreement

Moldova supports the intensification and diversification of trade and economic cooperation between the CIS States and the wider application of the Commonwealth Free Trade Agreement. This was announced on May 29 by Prime Minister of Moldova Ion Kiku at the last online meeting of the Council of Heads of Government of the Commonwealth of Independent States, the news agency reports. Against the background of the unprecedented crisis caused by the coronavirus epidemic, the consequences of which will affect all aspects of society, we face common problems, and the process of determining solutions will be more effective when there is direct interaction and mutual understanding, the Moldovan Prime Minister said. He spoke about the intentions of the Government of Moldova to invest in the reconstruction of road infrastructure in the republic and modernization of energy infrastructure. Another goal of the Moldovan authorities, according to him, is to create the most attractive conditions for investors.
