Ukrainian security forces injured by mortar explosion


At the test site in the territory of the DNR controlled by Ukraine, an 82 mm mortar exploded, the press service of the State Bureau of Investigation reported on April 14. The incident occurred during training shooting. During the explosion, a 24-year-old senior soldier of the Special Operations Unit Special Forces Company was killed. Eight soldiers near the mortar suffered injuries of varying degrees, the report said. Criminal proceedings have been initiated under the article Violation of the rules on the handling of weapons. According to the news agency, earlier in the explosion of 120 mm mortar Molot two fighters of APU died, three were injured.
